VIA Lab
Collaborative Web Design & Authoring

Fall 2000
(site has since been redesigned)
This was a project that my friend, Mitch Stark, and I worked on as part of our Honors Fellowship at Ball State; instructed by our mentor Phil Repp.
We wanted to show aspects of the software and the general feel of time-based media that this computer lab/organization deals with. This is why we added the animated wire-frame frog that hops through the page on a B-spline curve as the user's cursor hovers over the different links. The frog is a direct reference to the history of the VIA lab, coming from the first animation produced by its students (modeled by Mitch Stark a few years earlier).
The VIA logo (also on this site) was a design created by me the year before our fellowship.
In January of 2001 we were notified that this site placed third in the international competition BEA 2001: A Media Odyssey for the category of Online: Inform! BSU sent us to the convention in Las Vegas!
